Double-diagonal larch on oak, one steel bulkhead
Raked stem, transom stern, fo’c’sle, original wheelhouse, aft saloon, 7 knots.
ENGINECompound, 8" + 16" x 8".
Built 1944 by W. Sisson & Co. Ltd. at Gloucester.
Valve(s): pv on HP, sv on LP, Gear: SLRG.
No.4734. Xhead driven air & feed pumps, 75 IHP, 250 rpm, inboard condenser and centrifugal circ. pump.
BOILERRT Scotch.
Built 1944 by Ruston & Hornsby Ltd. at Lincoln.
Fuel: oil, Pressure: 120 psi, Heating Area: 264 sqft.
Wet back, 6' dia x 6' long, Laidlaw Drew steam atomising burner.
PROP3 blades, 46" x 59".
HISTORYBuilt for Admiralty, used latterly at Portland Dockyard, retired 1973 and acquired for preservation by Maritime Trust. Steamed several years, sank at moorings, acquired for preservation. Ref : Funnel No.6. Under restoration 2000.
