HISTORYHull originally fitted with diesel engine. Fitted with Tim Blackstaffe steam plant when aquired.
Current engine found in Cannery in Alaska. Engine reportedly from passenger boat in Sitka when Russia sold Alaska to USA (1867). Possibly in BARANOFF. Converted to screw propulsion in 1871 in Victoria, Canada.
ADVANCE was the name of first US arctic explorer's (EK Kane) boat.
