Four skins copper-sewn mahogany
Tunnel stern, white.
ENGINETwin, 6" + 6" x 6˝".
Built 1880s (?) by G.F.G. DesVignes at Chertsey.
Valve(s): sv, Gear: SLRG.
On 6 turned columns.
BOILERLocomotive type.
Built 1985 by H.A. McEwen (Boiler Repairs) Ltd. at Keithley.
Fuel: coal.
PROP3 blades, (larger prop to be fitted later), 25" x 32".
Shaft: 15/8" SS.
HISTORYFirst launch built to Saunders new patented construction technique (patent 222), because there were no suitable waterproof glues at that time.
Built for H.S. Clutton, Cleeve Mill, Goring. Used as Henley Regatta Umpire’s launch until 1911. Various owners until 1974 acquired by Graham Lindsay, restoration proceeded slowly until 1999 when Trust formed to complete to steaming condition in 2000.
