| HISTORY | Built at Hampton c 1904 for J. B. Hickey, Richmond, as a replica of his old FIREBIRD whose machinery was re-fitted incorporating many original fittings and woodwork.
Hull rebuilt in 1954 by Wootens Boatyard, Cookham. Named COOKHAM DEAN 1954-71, STROMBOLI 1972-3, 1973 to The Hon W. H. McAlpine. Acquired 1991. Ref: Old Glory, March 1995. (1954 - 71 Vosper sunken-crown boiler, 1971-80 a VFT boiler). Restored Henwood and Dean and Hugh Mothersole 2004 for Centenary Year. |
