Straight stem, counter stern, black with gold line, varnished deck and interior (all varnished until 1972), saloon added 1983.
ENGINECompound, 3" + 6" x 5".
Built c1900 by A.G. Mumford Ltd. at Colchester.
Valve(s): sv, Gear: SLRG.
On 6 turned columns, Xhead driven fp and air pump, Kcond.
BOILERVFT.
Built 1980 by J.O. Lugg & Son Ltd. at Billinghurst.
Fuel: coal, Pressure: 150 psi.
Welded shell 27" dia x 36" high, 153 x 1" od tubes 20" long, injector, hotwell, bilge ejector, 2 cwt bunker, Wkettle.
PROP3 blades, 20".
HISTORYBuilt at Hampton c 1904 for J. B. Hickey, Richmond, as a replica of his old FIREBIRD whose machinery was re-fitted incorporating many original fittings and woodwork.
Hull rebuilt in 1954 by Wootens Boatyard, Cookham.
Named COOKHAM DEAN 1954-71, STROMBOLI 1972-3, 1973 to The Hon W. H. McAlpine. Acquired 1991.

Restored Henwood and Dean and Hugh Mothersole 2004 for Centenary Year.
