On 4 turned columns with side valve shaft.
BOILERClyde Dry-back Scotch.
Built 2002 by Reggie Gross.
Fuel: solid fuel, Pressure: 110 psi, Grate: 133 sqin, Heating Area: 13½ sqft.
18" dia x 19" long, 29 x 1" copper tubes. 10" dia furnace.
PROP3 blades, aluminium, 51 sqin blade area, made by owner, 14" x 21".
Shaft: 1" bronze.
HISTORYNew launch, built, fitted out and steam plant installed by owner 1981-3, first steamed June 1983.
Originally fitted with Sam Clogston built (1960-80) 2" x 3" single with slip ecc and spiral sleeve reversing gear on 3 turned columns, and Sam Clogston built (1970-80) Bolsover type WT boiler. Propane fired, 100 psi, 10 sqft hs, 1 sqft pancake coil fwh in smokebox.
