Carvel Huon Pine with two layers of epoxy and hardwood chines, gunwales and keel.
Vertical stem/stern. Varnished above the water line with Cream & Burgandy trim. Tiller and cable wheel steering. Varnished interior and coaming. Burgandy upholstered seats. Capacity 6 at 7 knots.
ENGINESingle, 3" x 4".
Built 2002.
Design: Strath Steam, Warrego.
Valve(s): pv, Gear: SLRG, Pumps: Hypro positive displacement fp with metropolitan .3/8" injector and hand fp.
5 hp @ around 500 rpm.
BOILERVFT.
Built by Strath Steam.
Pressure: 110 psi.
18" all welded steel. fwh
PROP4 blades, bronze, 14" x 21".
Shaft: 7/8" SS thru two CV joints and a thrust bearing.
HISTORYThe Hull was rescued from Hobarts Prince of Wales Bay in poor condition early 2001and restored. THe original petrol engine and drive shaft was removed along with a homemade cabin!. The internal space has been extended and coamings made/fitted. She also now has a custom made traditional style cream and burgandy fringed canopy.
