Double-diagonal teak on oak, steel bulkheads and beams
Straight stem, transom stern, fo’c’sle (4 berths) aft saloon (2 berths) wheelhouse, 7 knots.
ENGINECompound, 8" + 16" x 8".
Built 1919 by Plenty & Son Ltd. at Newbury.
Valve(s): pv on HP, sv on LP, Gear: SLRG.
No.2409. 2 fp off HP Xhead, air pump off LP Xhead. 8 turned columns; 250 rpm, 75 IHP, inboard surface cond. circulating pump.
BOILERRT Scotch.
Built 1942 by Alex Anderson & Co. Ltd. at Motherwell.
Pressure: 120 psi.
Single flue, 6' dia x 6' long, Fitted c 1995
PROP3 blades, 46" x 59".
HISTORYBuilt for Admiralty as HSL 256. Later owned by J. Hay, Lerwick, 1952 B.F. Marriage. Acquired R.W. Partis in 1971 and cruised extensively. Acquired April 1985 by A.G. Gurner. (ref. FUNNEL 7 and 13). Not steamed 1985-1992. Boiler formerly in yacht KATHLYN.
Being renovated 2006.
