Single skin kauri with hardwood ribs keel and stem, copper fastened. Heavy and traditional type construction.
Transom stern (wineglass form) with outboard rudder tiller steering, straight stem. Ssingle cockpit three thwarts, fitted forward pram hood on wooden bows. Fitted mast with aux/ steadying sail and aft jackstaff
ENGINESingle, 3" x 4".
Built by G. Wilkinson.
Design: Winters, Sydney, Bolton style.

Purchased by owner as semi finished set of parts. Fitted for a season to owner's previous steamer Gypsy and then unused. Now needing rebuild or replacement.
BOILERStuart Turner VFT with wet leg.
Built 1993 by McKenzie and Ridley at Penrose Auckland.
Fuel: coal, Pressure: 100 psi.
Stuart Turner design updated to NZ code. Teak lagged, Windermere kettle fitted, 35 gallon feedwater reserve
PROP18" x 25".
HISTORYDesigned and built for his own use by Alec Baxter a traditional commercial boatbuilder of Whangarei NZ in 1994. Sadly he died before completion and I bought the almost finished hull from the family. She was finished in 1996.
