Built 1927 by Yorkshire Engine Co. Ltd. at Sheffield.
Fuel: coal, Grate: 3 sqft.
½" riveted steel, 1' 10" dia x 5' 8" long, 32 x 1¼" id tubes, 2 injectors, blower, Wkettle. Ex R.&.E.Rly loco RIVER IRT, shortened and altered to side firing by owner
PROP3 blades, 27" x 40".
Shaft: 2" steel.
HISTORYOriginally fitted with a Sisson TE. Owned by W. Birtwistle until 1929, C. Ashley 1930-4. Converted to motor 1948, used by Bowness Bay Boating Co. for tripping.
Acquired, derelict Nov 1976, restored and new plant fitted by owner 1978-9. Engine: Roger Mallinson Twin (1977-79). 3¼" + 3¼" x 4¾". No.5. On 4 turned columns. Block made from duplex pump. Marshall gear working both sv in one chest at back of block.
