3¼" bore x 4¼" stroke.
Designed and built by J.R.Rankin to a very high standard, the engine is fitted with stephenson link reversing gear
and incorporates lubricating oil supply by wick and pipe feeds to all bearing surfaces.
An interesting feature is the supply to the bottom end bearing via a boring in the crank shaft with oil seals on the oil thrower ring.
Hydro boiler feed pump.

Steam Launch HESTIA
Due to failing eyesight I am obliged to offer my boat for sale.
The 16ft. Fairey Marine moulded hull is sound but the 2 berth cabin needs some attention. The engine is a 3 cylinder converted air compressor powered by an oil fired monotube boiler. This is all in order except for a small reversing gear component which went missing when the boat was on display.
Complete with recently made over all boat cover and good trailer, lights etc. We also have a quantity of fuel.
At present laid up in north London.
