Straight stem, transom stern, fully decked forward of engine, canvas canopy, wheel steering.

Boiler

Babcock type WT Built 2001 by Mack Scott
Fuel: paraffin, Pressure: 150 psi, Heating area: 17 sqft, Output: 200 lbs/hr,
Engine driven fp, hand fp, injector, Kcond, Edwards ap, Wkettle, bilge ejector 1 drum with 2 box headers, copper tubes. Previously fitted with Lune Valley type VWT, fitted 1967.

Engine

Tandem Compound. 2 1/4" + 3 3/4" X 3"
Built by A.G. Mumford Ltd.
pv valve. SLRG valve gear.
Former circulating pump engine, modified to compound by Ken Slater and C.F. Parsons, 1957. On 4 turned columns. ecc driven fp, 3 IHP, 180 rpm, Kcond.

Propeller

3 blades, 18" X 30"
Shaft: 1 1/4" bronze

History

Hull acquired, restored and plant fitted by Ken Slater, Shaldon 1957. 1968 owned by J.A. Crabtree. Acquired June 1975 by H.Graham Powell, cabin removed and re-designed as open cutter 1987 on River Avon at Bredon. Steamed each year since 1975, total c. 6000 miles. Dismantled in 2006, and hull scrapped. Machinery moved to new clinker built Puffin.
