Illingworth type WT Built 1984 by C.R. Webb at Chichester
Fuel: paraffin, Pressure: 150 psi,
Chain driven fp, Xhead lever driven ap, hand fp, Kcond 21" dia x 3' high, centre drum 6" id x 24" high, 32 x ½" id copper tubes 24" long. Superheater, Lune Valley type burner, hotwell, 25 gall fuel tank. (Fitted 1985) (1976-84 fitted with similar boiler built 1976 by C R Webb).

Engine

Compound. 2 1/2" + 4" X 3"
Built by Stuart Turner Ltd.
Design: 6 sv valve. SLRG valve gear.
2 tfc, cbs, 400 rpm, 4 IHP. (Fitted 1983) (1976-82 fitted with Simpson Strickland 1039, now in BILLOW).

Propeller

4 blades, 17 1/4" X 23"
Shaft: 1 1/2" bronze

History

Built for J.A.Greenwood as fast motor launch SALTIRE, acquired C R Webb 1975 when named WHITE BEAR, restored, steam plant fitted and re-named 1976. Oct 1985 - 1991 John Partridge, acquired 1991, laid up 1992.
