Built 1984 by Stargate Marine at Rochester
Fit out 1994 by Steam Centre at Chatham Historic Dockyard
LOA: 42' 0", Beam: 7' 9", Draft: 1' 9", Displacement: 16000 lbs.
Hydraulic ram actuated rudder steering. Carries 12 passengers on deck and in aft saloon.

Boiler

Compact horizontal Designed by Chatham Steam,
Built 1986 by Chatham Steam Ltd. at Higham
Fuel: Oil, Pressure: 180 psi,
24" dia X 48" long Steel barrel. 86 X 1" dia Steel tubes. Welded steel construction, superheater,
condensing, engine driven pump, injector, steam feed pump, feed water heater, Windermere kettle, whistle,
Feed pump and air pump driven by rocking arms from small ends. Weir. Savery VT cond. Riello burner with automatic controls.

Built 1986 by Stainforth Engineering at Rochester GB
Slide valve. Hackworth Radial valve gear.
Power: 8 HP
Controls and instrumentation in wheelhouse. Converted to marine by Staniforth Engineering, Rochester.

History

Intended as river bus on River Stour. First owner Brian Waters. Aquired 2007 by Matthew O’Crowley and Ian Rees. Based at Cowes, IoW. Sold to Morwellham Quay 2010. Sold to N Donnelly 2012. Now running on the River Frome in Dorset. Based at Wareham.
