V berth forward with 30 gallon freshwater makeup tank beneath. Steering in cabin forward as well as on starboard side for ease of single-handing.

Boiler

Fuel: Oil, Pressure: 150 psi, Heating area: 40 sqft,
18" dia X 42" high Steel barrel. Steel tubes. welded construction, Stainless Steel superheater,
condensing, engine driven pump, forced draft fan, hand pump, injector, feed water heater, Windermere kettle, whistle,
York/Williams steam atomizing oil burner. "Turbulators" in tubes to assist in heat transfer. Induced draft provided by engine exhaust driven turbocharger. Buffalo #5 type C injector.

Engine

2 cyl compound. 3" + 5 1/2" X 4"

pv on HP, sv on LP valve. SLRG valve gear.
Power: 10 HP
Many modifications by Steven Harcourt, including extensive lightening of reciprocating parts. Newest modification being replacing the original separate cylinder castings that had slide valves with a new Scripps one-piece cylinder block with piston valve on the HP. HP crosshead driven ram feed pump. LP walking beam driven York/Bailey condensate pump. Roller chain drives propeller at 2x engine speed. Exhaust drives '87 Buick Grand National turbocharger before entering feed water heater, then the condenser.

History

Bare hull purchased and fitted out by Steven Harcourt. Originally powered by Harcourt designed and built 2-1/2+4x3" compound, and former vulcanizing plant vertical fire tube boiler. Engine and boiler changed to Scripps compound and Harcourt built Roberts style horizontal watertube in 1988. Boiler changed to Semple vertical firetube in 1992. New Scripps cylinder block fitted in 2014.
