Fuel: Coal, Pressure: 200 psi, Heating area: 25 sqft, Output: 300 lbs/hr,
6 + 4" dia Steel 100 X 0.47" dia Cunifer tubes. Steel Drum, Cunifer tubes, bolted ends construction,
condensing, engine driven pump, hand pump, injector, Windermere kettle, whistle,
Boiler orientated with drums fore and aft. Fitted with economiser - steel ends with 22 cunifer tubes.

Engine

Double Simple. 2.5" + 2.5" X 3"

Piston valve. SLRG valve gear.
Power: 5 HP
Keel cooler condenser, with belt driven layshaft driving air pump and Hypro feed pump. Gravity fed lubrication to bearings, forced lubrication for valves and cylinders.

Propeller

Bronze, 3 blades, Right Hand, 15" X 18"
Shaft: 1" 316 Stainless Steel
Propeller shaft driven by toothed belt drive, speed increased by 2.5:1.


History

Exact date of construction not known but believed to be "before the first world war". Purchased by Geoff Calvert in the mid 60s, fitted with a small petrol engine and used on Windermere for around 20 years. Purchased from the Calvert family in 1985 and the hull and cabin was restored by David Moss Boatbuilders - Skipool Creek and subsequently fitted with the steam plant. Initial steam plant comprising Stuart Turner 6A replaced in 2019 and Anthony Bever 3 drum WT boiler replaced in 2020 with current plant.
