Built from 12mm "speed Strip" cedar coated in fiberglass cloth both inside and out before the fixing of internal joinery. Floors and engine bearers built of 50mm X 30mm Iroko strips alternately laid to create "egg box" structure. Cabin designed by owner and built of mahogany the roof is flexi ply coated with fiberglass cloth and resin.

Engine

Double acting twin . 2.25" + 2.25" X 2.5"

Slide valve. SLRG valve gear.
Owner built a 2.5 X 2.5 X 3 inch Phil Moore designed engine for the 2013 season for this launch but had difficulties with the fabricated crank (due to the owners incompetent workmanship). Taylor twin purchased at 2014 AGM very happy with its performance.

Propeller

Bronze, 3 blades, 20" X 30"
Shaft: 1" Stainless Steel
Purchased from Beckmann Boat shop Slocum RI as a casting and finished by Norris propellers Middlesex.


History

Built by owner as a trailerable launch which can be very occasionally slept on. The Anna in the name is in remembrance of Anna Thomson a very enthusiastic steamboater and photographer.

Ceder stip held in place by plaster board screws, strips bent by jacking into place with car scissor jack.


Ceder shell fiberglassed inside and then Internal floors and engine bearers made of 50mmX30mm Iroko were attached using thickened resin.
