Lifeboat construction on the Captain Walker system. Lifting lugs stamped - J.P. 1898 - Suggesting Thames Ironworks (John Penn) as possible builder; Original builders marking on S/S of stem head no longer extant. Originally fitted with jumping gear as a Torpedo boat - Partial coppering and fore-foot eye fitting.
